the story behind the name...

Eat Steak Eat Cake, formerly known as Maranatha Steak House, is a business built by the guidance of God and His faithfulness to Andrew. As we became a corporation, we changed our name to Eat Steak Eat Cake, while continuing to hold close the biblical meaning of “Maranatha”—“Come, Lord Jesus.” The Lord has directed every step, provided every need, and made a way for us to serve our community. In honoring and glorifying God, we proudly choose not to serve alcohol. Our purpose is to create a welcoming, family-friendly place where guests can enjoy a meal and experience the love and values that guide our business. Our theme verse, Philippians 4:13, reminds us daily: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Every day, we are grateful for the opportunity to serve people through the food the Lord provides. From our kitchen to each table, we pray that our work reflects God’s goodness, generosity, and love. At Eat Steak Eat Cake, we are thankful to serve our community with faith, gratitude, and a heart for God.

Esther, Our Pastry Chef

Esther’s love for baking began when she was a young girl. Wanting to offer something more special than commercially produced desserts, she began creating her own baked goods for Maranatha Steakhouse—bringing greater care,

quality, and flavor to every item.

Together, Esther and her husband are always exploring new ways to serve the Valley and their guests. Their passion led them to expand the business with a gourmet bake shop, featuring thoughtfully made treats and timeless favorites.

Esther continues to grow in her craft while creating classic desserts that bring comfort, joy, and a homemade touch to every celebration.
